That Kind of Guy: Chapter 26

Avery

THE LOOK in Emmett’s eyes as he saw me standing there in my lingerie, it could have burned me up from the inside, it was so heated. Anticipation and desire clouded my mind and all I thought about was how to get Emmett’s mouth on me.

I didn’t have to try that hard.

Within moments I was on my back on the bed, naked and gasping as he devoured me. His tongue slicked across my folds, dancing over my clit. I gasped and arched.

“Need this,” he groaned against my wetness.

“Emmett,” I moaned. My eyes were clenched closed, and I scrambled to find his hair. My fingers combed through his soft locks and gently pulled, and I felt his groan all the way to my center.

“Say my name so you know you’re mine.”

“Emmett.” My voice was a gasp.

Pressure wound tight and hard inside of me and when he slipped a finger into my core and worked my G-spot, I unraveled underneath him, calling his name and paralyzed with overwhelming pleasure.

When I floated back down to earth like a feather, I gave him a shy smile and bit my lip.

Lust clouded his gaze. “I’m going to do that every day.”

I nodded. My chest burst with joy at the idea, not just because of the orgasms but because the idea of seeing him every day was heaven. “Deal.”

He climbed onto the bed and lay down beside me, propping himself up on his elbow but I crawled over him, straddling him. The orgasm he had provided me took the edge off but I still felt empty and hungry, and I needed more. His hardness pressed against my core, and I dragged myself up and down his length, pulling a shudder from his chest. His gaze darkened as he watched me over him.

When his hands came to my breasts and he touched the aching tips, my head fell back and something primal within me rattled her cage. More. I needed more.

I positioned him at my entrance, and he watched me with a gaze so dark it nearly shattered my soul. I lowered myself onto him and we moaned. He pulled me forward, flush against his chest, and I moved my hips slowly, feeling all of his length deep inside me. I whimpered against him, feeling my body stretch around him in a delicious ache. My core thrummed with pleasure, and I slid up and down on him languidly, watching as his brow furrowed with delicious concentration.

“Stop holding back.” I shuddered around him, and he groaned, fingers digging into my hips as I bounced up and down on him. “Give up.”

“Give me another one first. I can feel you clenching me.” His voice was rough and it sent shivers down my limbs. “You’re so close, I can feel it. I know you can do it again, baby.”

His fingers pinched my nipples and I gasped. That familiar pressure built and the back of my legs tingled. I could feel my orgasm approaching. Hot wetness flooded my core and Emmett groaned again and pulsed inside of me.

A moment later, it ripped through me, wrenching my soul from my body and wringing me out. Wave after wave crashed inside me, and stars exploded behind my eyes. God, I loved this man. I couldn’t hold it in anymore and I didn’t want to. What if one of us died the next day and he never knew how I felt?

Bravery surged within me and my head fell against his chest. “I love you. I love you so fucking much, Emmett.” My voice was high and breathy, and I gasped against his chest as the last throws of orgasms wracked my body and my muscles jerked.

I thought I’d feel more panicked when the truth was set free, but it didn’t happen. I only felt relief.

Emmett’s gaze overflowed with heat. He watched me with a tense reverence before his arms came around me and he flipped me onto my back. “Really?”

I nodded. “Yes.”

He made a noise like I was killing him. “I love you, too.” He hovered above me to study my expression. “You’re everything to me. I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t want you to freak out.”

He loved me too? I was worried I meant nothing to him. I laughed in relief and disbelief at my incredible luck. “Not freaking out.” I shook my head and beamed at him. “Not freaking out one bit.”

He leaned down to cover my mouth with his before he pushed his hips further into me and I groaned against his lips.

“I want to be married for real, Avery.” His gaze was hungry, dark, and glazed.

I nodded against his mouth and whimpered as he thrust into me again. “We’re doing this. It’s real.”

His hands grasped my hips, and he tilted me so that his arousal hit exactly the right point and with no warning, I came again, tipping back over that cliff of pleasure. He was right there with me, groaning my name into my hair and urgently shuddering his release into my soul.

The room was silent save for our breathing and my heart thumping in my ears.

All that worry about this all being fake, for nothing. His vows sounded sincere because he was sincere. Emmett wanted me the way I wanted him. I could kick myself, for keeping it a secret. What if I had never blurted out that I loved him?

At one point, I got up to use the washroom, and when I returned to bed, Emmett was looking at his phone with a funny expression on his face.

“What is it?”

He shook his head and put the phone down. “Nothing. Come back to bed.”

I settled in with my head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

“I love you.” He kissed my temple. “I mean it.”

I nodded and turned my head to catch his mouth. “I love you, and I mean it too.”
