Lightning: Conclusion

Lightning stepped over to the boy and knelt down. “Um…Little man. I…” He looked over at Nala. “I intend to marry your Nala.”

Nala gasped from behind him.

Lightning looked back at her. “Well, soon, but not today.” He laughed at her stunned expression.

Paco squared his shoulders and looked over at her then back to Lightning. “You better be good to her, Mr. Lightning.”

Lightning nodded. “I will treat her like a queen.”

Paco stared at him. “So, what about me?’

Lightning smiled. “I figure you could be my best man?”

Paco cocked his small head at him. “What does that mean?”

“It’s okay.” Lightning chuckled. “Don’t worry about that right now. What I meant to say was that you will stay here with us. Be a part of the family.”

Paco gulped and looked over at Nala.

She gave him a nod.

“Wow! You mean live here with all the bikers?” he asked.

Lightning nodded.

“Whoa!” Paco looked excited.

The dogs came over close to Paco again, seeming to be curious about his excitement.

Paco smiled at the dogs. “Have you met my new buddies?’

Nala swiped at her cheeks. “Um…no. Where did they come from?”

“They belong to Cobra’s woman,” Python answered.

Just then, Cobra and Ivy Blue came down the hallway and paused at the people gathered there.

The dogs looked up and then ran over to her.

“How’s my babies?” Ivy Blue cheered as she knelt down to hug the dogs.

Cobra walked up to the table. “What did I miss?” he asked his dad.

Python turned to him. “Miss Monica thought she could outgun the cartel and she found out… that she couldn’t.”

Cobra nodded. “Good. So, we torch the distributors?”

Python nodded. “That is next. We plan that in a couple of days. We are waiting on Whiskey.”

“Whiskey?” Jack spoke up. “You gonna use it like Molotov’s or what?” he joked.

“No, Whiskey is a man,” Lightning replied. “A brother of mine in fact. There’s no one better at….well, torching, and explosives.”

Python watched as Ivy Blue finally came over to stand next to Cobra. “So…” He stared at them both. “Is everything all right?”

Cobra nodded as he put his big arm around his woman. He said not a word.

Ivy looked up at him. “Are you going to tell him?”

Cobra looked down at her and grinned. “Do so at your own risk.”

She looked puzzled. “What do you mean?”

“What the hell are you two talking about?” Python demanded.

Ivy looked back over at him. “You are gonna be a grandpa.”

“Oh, man…” Cotton whispered as he stood from the table.

Python stood stock still. “What?”

“You heard her, old man,” Cobra quipped and waited for what he knew would be coming.

Python growled and stepped close then grabbed Ivy Blue’s hand, looking down at it.

Ivy Blue looked from him to Cobra. “What is he doing?”

Cobra shook his head. “Just wait for it.”

Cotton laughed. “Oh, boy. Here it comes.”

Python looked angry as he narrowed his eyes at Cobra. “I don’t see no ring on her damned finger, boy!”

Ivy blue stared at him a she batted her eyes in shock.

“You two are gonna get hitched ASAP!” Python announced.

“What?” she asked looking a bit pale.

Python nodded and looked around. “Men, we’ve got a wedding to set up!”

The men all stood from the tables.

Ivy Blue gaped at him. “Now, wait just a minute!”

Python pretty much ignored her as he went on, “We need to figure out who is gonna deliver the food. We then have to call the bakery. Then we need to call that ole minister over at the church—”

“WAIT!” Ivy Blue interrupted him as she stepped over to him and placed her hands on her hips. “You can’t tell us when to get married.”

Python paused and raised a brow at her. “Do I have to get out my shotgun, young lady?” he growled. Then before she could even open her mouth to answer, he took his phone out. “I have to see about the minister.” He rushed away.

Ivy Blue’s mouth popped open and she turned to look at Cobra.

Still grinning and not in the least disturbed by the sudden nuptials, he raised his hands up at her. “I tried to warn you.”

Cotton laughed and called over to her, “Welcome to the family, little Ivy Blue.”
